With : With fillers - i personally would recommend it as a saturday procedure and not as a lunch time proceedure.

Fat & hyaluronic aci: There are countless options out there but most of them cause horrible consequences.  In my opinion there are only two options:  your own fat and hyaluronic acid based products like juvederm and perlane (dermal fillers).

It doesn't have to: Lip augmentation can be done with a local or regional anesthetic block similar to what a dentist does for work on teeth.  With this anesthetic block you would not feel pain with the procedure.

Lip augmentation age: Is this for cosmetic reasons, or did you have an accident or congenital defect that caused you to have lip asymmetry? If for aesthetic reasons, 18 yrs is generally accepted, although many providers would reserve elective intervention for an older individual. If p/trauma there's no age limit. The key is to preserve oral function for speech, swallowing and protect dentition.

Yes: Anything you put in your body (medicines, foods, herbs and supplements, etc)  can potentially effect an unborn child.  Every medicine has been assigned a pregnancy class that reflects the relative risk of that medicine.  Your doctor can review the individual medicines you're on, and the supplements etc. That you take, to evaluate the risk vs. Benefit of each of those substances.

18 years old: There is no set age requirement.  However, the individual should be psychologically mature for an image change.

Dermal fillers such as juvederm, Restylane (dermal fillers) make non-surgical lip augmentation readily accessible for men and women who wish to improve the appearance of their lips. Lip enhancement can also be performed using fat grafts harvested from liposuction, collagen, isolagen (made from your own collagen) and goretex lip implants.

Look: The look you are trying to achieve and the means in which the procedure is going to be performed.  Fat transplants vs fillers.  Discuss with your dermatologist or plastic surgeon.

Their : Their are multiple ways to augment the lips.  Some are simple and others are more complex.  Off the shelf fillers such as Restylane (dermal fillers) can be done in minutes while surgical augmentation may take an hour or so.

Most : Most lip augmentation is done by injecting fillers. The area can be numbed beforehand as mentioned above, and most fillers have some Lidocaine in them to help. The area may be sore for a day or two, as with any injection, but most patients feel overall it is worthwhile.
