Was your daughter on any antibiotics for this cold, especially a broad spectrum antibiotic?

The antibiotics may have changed the balance of bacterial flora in her mouth, resulting in a change in the appearance of her tongue.

Best bet is to have it examined by your healthcare professional.

Sinus infection: To get rid of your reśidual cough and congestion try taking a hot shower once or twice a day. Sleep with two pillows at night and keep a vaporizer on at night. A decongestant may also be helpful

Lingering URI: A viral URI usually lasts less than 1 week. It's possible to get a second viral URI when recovering from the first (this happens to parents of school-aged children quite often) , however another explanation is possible. People who suffer from allergies can have continuous symptoms when exposed to allergens (such as seasonal allergies). If so, a trial of OTC antihistamines (eg, cetirizine) may help

Sx's:  Did you have symptoms at the time you had the COVID 19 test? This could be bronchitis  or other conditions. If you were fully symptomatic at the time of COVID testing, it should have been able to pick up on infection.

1-2 weeks is sufficient.

No: Tmp/smx or Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) is a medication commonly used for skin or lung infections. Cold-like symptoms such as cough, congestion are more likely viral and will not respond to an antibiotic. Try using an antihistamine and decongestants to overcome your symptoms.

Wait: The zinc in coldeze may shorten the duration of a cold by a day or so.  Symptomatic treatment will make you feel better.  Throat lozenges for sore throat, oral pseudephedrine or topical neosynephrine for nasal congestion, Robitussin-DM for cough and tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain and discomfort when needed are what i recommend.  There is no medical cure but wait 7 days and it will be gone.

Not necessarily: Supplemental water has no direct effect on infants tolerance of cold symptoms. Their basic feeds of breast milk or formula should provide the proper blend of nutrients as needed.Nasal saline wash will often thin down nasal secretions and help them rest.
