Great question!: This has been recently studied. There is no difference in potential life expectancy between the races.  In the real world, other factors such as poverty shorten life expectancy in some racial groups but not because of their genes.

Depends: Cirrhosis = stage 4 fibrosis, and can be "compensated" or decompensated-- like fluid build up in your abdominal cavity (ascites), confusion (hepatic encephalopathy), bleeding varices, liver cancer (hcc). Many people live many years with cirrhosis, but with the complications above, life expectancy can be lower, but transplant can fix this! see a liver doctor who can discuss the above with you.

Good: From the study, about 70-75% people are still being on Gleevec (imatinib) and still on complete remission for over 12 years now. In addition to gleevec, (imatinib) we have 3 other medications available- i.e. Dasatinib ( sprycel), nilotinib ( tasigna) and the newest one- bosutinib ( bosulif) that you can use if needed. So, i will say that for a leukemia, the life expectancy in CML is actually pretty good.

: warts on hands just look ugly. You can have them treated by your MD They do not cause serious health problems. HPV vaccine is generally geared for genital warts

: warts on your hands rarely go away without treatment, which is local. If you dont like cryo treatment you can have them treated by chemical application. It is simple. Do not worry

my uncle is 72, has ephysema, no longer smokes, & needs a lung transplant, but his health is too poor to survive surgery. what is his life expectancy?

Unknown. : At 72 even in better health, he is probably not a candidate for a lung transplantation. Depending on the severity of the emphysema, he may be a candidate for lung volume reduction surgery although this is not recommended in patients with severe disease. Medications are recommended and should be continued. No one can actually predict life expectancy with copd. Lack of smoking, good nutrition.

Long yet variable: Carcinoid tumors are slow growing cancers which can exist in the body for 10-20+ years without causing a major threat to life. But this depends on where they are located and if they have spread to the liver or not. Liver spread does lead to increasing problems and some fatal outcomes, typically after 5 to 10+ years. It has a highly variable prognosis.

Not much...: I would question the accuracy of the "calculator" and suggest, if you're concerned, you get a direct physical assessment of body composition.

: Conception determined by "first U/S" are approximate, and do not accurately determine the actual "due date" or ovulation date, as ovulation may be often delayed, and the U/S only measures correlation of fetal dimensions with estimated fetal age, but size and growth rate variations distort the accuracy of either due date or last ovulation.

Doubtful: An US done at 14 weeks should be accurate within 7 days. So it is very doubtful that conception occurred 11 days off of that May 19th likely date of conception. Seven days either way, but very doubtful that it's 11 days off.
