Not at all: The gallbladder is not a vital organ. We restrict diet to low fat only in the pre op condition. Once the gallbladder is removed we lift all restrictions, allowing all types of foods, including pizza, cheese, etc. Some people have temporary urgency in the early post op period, which is self limited. You don't have to avoid fatty foods. Good luck.

Yes: The combination of general anesthesia, laparoscopy, and gallbladder removal usually leads to a decreased appetite +/-nausea for a few days after surgery. I advise my patients to " listen to their body"....Don't push food, wait for one's appetite to return. I hope you feel better.

Healthy: Though many patients don't have much problem with their usual diet after gb surgery, many found themselves intolerant of certain foods (fried, rich food...), with varying symptoms (bloating, loose bm, flatulence...).  Take the opportunity to adopt a more healthy dietary selection.

Dark urine can mean: Elevated bilirubin in blood or blood in urine, among other things.  The former can be complication of surgery, so contact your surgeon immediately.
