: Since your symptoms are only one sided, I have to conclude that the persistent numbness &amp; the other more bizarre symptoms are due to injury in the left cerebral cortex from the brain surgery. I'm unclear as to whether an EMG would document this. I'd have to defer to the neurologist's judgement &amp; opinion.

Chest tightness : Left sided chest symptoms are always worrisome, because they make physicians think of heart problems. However, if you are a 23-year-old male, this becomes much less likely. I would strongly suggest you be evaluated as soon as possible by your physician, an urgent care center, or emergency center.

Given age, build, unspecified health issues [measured lipoproteins (not cholesterol) concentrations, HbA1c, BP, build, previous activity levels, food choices, etc.] cardiovascular disease (which typically begins in later childhood) could be a possibility at age 34, yet there are many other possibilities.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help.
