Autoimmune disease: Sounds like you have an underlying autoimmune disease such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis or a combination. The underlying disease seems to be maintained though can always cause some discomfort, without having a flare up, which is why your CRP is normal.  You will need full work up for definitive diagnosis including xrays and further serology such as ccp, anti lipoproteins, ssa, ssb, etc.

Need work-up: You should see a hematologist/oncologist and have some work-up done- some blood works and a bone marrow biopsy would be important. There are different conditions that can cause monoclonal protein- and this needs to be investigated further.
