No not at all!: You have to think positive! your WBC is slightly high which is probably due to sinus infection. If you have any further concerns, get a repeat cbc, four weeks after sinus infection is resolved. Good luck.

Low counts: Low white blood cell counts and low platelets is concerning for bone marrow failure or severe viral infection.  Further testing is required to determine the cause of this suppression.

Lupus and Cancer: Systemic lupus erythematosus (“lupus” or “sle”) and other autoimmune diseases are linked to an increased risk of certain types of cancer. Specifically, lupus patients may experience an elevated risk of lymphoma and other cancers, such as cancer of the cervix.

3yr olds hemoglobin level is 10.9, is this concerning?  she doesnt eat well, never has, very picky.  should i be concerned about leukemia?

Anemia: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your daughter is anemic and you should consult your doctor about the type of anemia. She may need dietary supplements, like iron and vitamins. Leukemia is not likely, but you should get her to see a doctor.

i am extremely lethargic and i have a history of aml leukemia and i have not had my blood levels checked in two years, should i be concerned?!

CBC: There are many possible causes for lethargy that do not involve a recurrence of leukemia (infection, depression, sleep apnea, etc.). However, if the lethargy persists or is accompanied by symptoms such as petechiae, new bruising, bleeding, or bone pain, i would definitely see a health care provider. If you are concerned, a simple CBC (complete blood count) would be a reasonable place to start.

if b12 levels are high >1999, and red & white blood levels are normal, should i be concerned about leukemia? b12 supplements were stopped 3 weeks ago.

No: There's a fairly common form of leukemia in which B12 tends to go up. If your CBC is normal, you can be as confident that you do not have this particular form of leukemia as you can be confident you are not pregnant. Relax, friend. Everybody has a few labs out of range. You'll simply make your life harder than it already is if you let this stuff bother you. Be glad for good health.

No: Based on laboratory results alone, i would not be concerned. If you have other reasons for concern, such as unexplained weight loss, fever, night sweats, lymph nodes swelling, strong family history of leukemia or lymphoma, etc., please see your doctor about your concerns.

I can see that you: are worried since the input from a number of doctors that should be reassuring you, clearly didn't.  I would encourage you to seek out a therapist who is experienced with cognitive behavioral therapy - to help you get past this issue. Do you have health anxiety about other aspects of your health?

relative has high eosinophilia, she also has lymphnodes swollen in mediastinal, she has asthma & history bronchitis,is this concern 4 eosinophilic leukemia?

Accepted Answer

Not really: To me it's a concern that the underlying causes for her asthma and "bronchitis" are not being addressed.  Allergies will cause eosinophilia and al of the other things you describe, either directly or indirectly. I'd start with a visit to an allergist for evaluation and treatment modification, as these things indicate less than perfect control.
