Other symptoms: The chief symptom may be from anema, infection due to granulocytopenia or petechia ,purpura ,epestaxis rectal bleeding because thrombocythopenia.  .the bone pain occasionally, off and on.

Possible : It is possible that bone pain associated with leukemia can be masked by antiinflammatories. However, you do not have to have bone pain to have leukemia. In fact many people do not have pain. Most have fatigue. Every situation is different.

It is not: possible to have leukemia with a normal CBC. The bone pain from leukemia is from pressure in the marrow from excess bad cell production

Depends: That is a difficult question to answer since different people experience pain differently. The pain scale we typically use is a subjective scale. What might be a three for one person could be a seven for another person. The best use of the scale is to judge an individuals response to pain treatment interventions.

1-10: Impossible to tell without further information. Pain, bleeding, or other problems may run the spectrum from very mild to life threatening.  If this is you or someone you know, make sure the oncologist knows what is going on so he/she can help.

fever, bone pain and body aches. had a cbc that showed wbc of 16.42 (neutrophils abs 13.74). all other values on cbc within normal ranges. is this likely an infection or leukemia?

: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, infection is far more likely than leukemia.   Wish you good health!

any doctor here ever heard of some one getting leukemia following multiple ct scans?  i had several ct scans over 18 month period, one of which was a full spinal scan exposing a lot of bone marrow to radiation. am getting bone pain and leg weakness?

: Comments:  Do you have a confirmed leukemia diagnosis?  Have the CAT scans revealed the cause of "bone pain" and weakness?  Was the equipment used the newer fast CT procedures, or older models?  In essence, these are questions you could ask your doctors and the radiologists, and if appropriate have a neurologist evaluate the "leg weakness".
