Benign tumor: Usually signifies a benign tumor or growth on the outside of the eyelids or surface of the eye.  It could also be something like a pigmented spot (Nevus) inside the eye.  Essentially, any abnormality on or inside the eye is described as a lesion.  It would be good to see an ophthalmologist to reassure you since about 95% of "lesions" found in or around the eye are benign (not cancerous).

It is named for james homer wright, who devised the stain.

Reasonable: Chances are it is a cyst.  It will show on CT and can be characterized better.  Also, if that does not give sufficient information an MRI can be considered.  The fact that you found it within a year bodes well.

Don&#x27;t Be Concerned: The lesion you have, an angiomyolipoma, is a benign lesion which is typically an incidental finding. Sometimes these lesions can be large and have a risk of bleeding. The size of your lesion is very small with little to no risk. Typically no follow-up of these lesions is advised since they do not usually grow or cause any symptoms. When I see these I  tell patients there is nothing to worry about.

The formal term for the disorder is "substance use disorder," where you put the drug involved up front - like "alcohol use disorder" or "opiate use disorder."  There are 11 criteria, and if 7 or more present, that is a "severe" disorder= addiction.
