Benign tumor: Usually signifies a benign tumor or growth on the outside of the eyelids or surface of the eye. It could also be something like a pigmented spot (Nevus) inside the eye. Essentially, any abnormality on or inside the eye is described as a lesion. It would be good to see an ophthalmologist to reassure you since about 95% of "lesions" found in or around the eye are benign (not cancerous).
