Yes: Leg weakness & tremors are frequent symptoms of spinal stenosis. Cold also reduces strength of muscle contraction and also induces tremors. The combination of the two situations augment the responses.

Potentially: If spinal cord becomes severe enough, it can start to affect the legs, although there are other potential causes.  Either way, I would be seen in follow up immediately.

Hard to tell: Depending on the severity of compressing and duration of the symptoms, you could have permanent risidual numbness, but only time will tell. Nerves heal at a very slow rate and sometimes incompletely. You still may have some recovery with regard to sensation, but you'll have to wait and see what you get back.

Most likely not: Fusion help to stabilize the bone which keep sliding forward, numbness happen sequence to pressure on the nerves from the disc.

See your surgeon: You should see your surgeon as the numbness may indicate further nerve compression and you need to have your fusion looked at with an X-ray at least.

Yes, a fusion may be: A treatment option for a vertebral fracture if indicated bya spine surgeon for primarily instability reasons or for neurologic or nerve reasons.  Disc herniations causing primarily leg pain are generally treated without surgey with 10% going to surgery and rarely is a fusion indicated unless instability is present such as with a condition called a spondylolisthesis.

had a spinal fusion xlif 4 weeks ago and my leg has gone from feeling paralyzed to being in constant pain. i fear it won't ever go away. thoughts?

Md -re-eval: You may just have localized muscle spasm that frequent ice packs and muscle relaxants might help, if not you may need to let your surgeon know. A ct scan or MRI eval may be ordered by your surgeon/pain management doctor to eval surgery site.

Maybe: Have you talked to your surgeon about this issue?  You might consider seeing a pain specialist and having a EMG done.  This could better assess the cause of the numbness...It might not be coming from the back, but rather further down the nerves pathway.
