Muscle fascia hernia: Sounds like you may have a fascial hernia that allows the muscle to locally herniate through due to internal pressure. With activity, the muscle pressure increases and the visual bump enlarges as more muscle extrudes through the defect. Exercise induced exertional compartment syndrome may also lead to this injury pattern. Orthopaedci surgeon evaluation is indicated.

It depends.: It is possible, but it may also be a baker's cyst, which can indicate that there is something structurally wrong within your knee.

Hematoma: A hematoma is a collection of blood, usually clotted, outside of a blood vessel that may occur because of an injury to the wall of a blood vessel allowing blood to leak out into tissues where it does not belong. Sometimes your will see a bruise, other times not. Most hematomas can be treated with rest, ice, compression, and elevation (rice). They will gradually resolve over time on their own.

There are few rashes: ...that are truly painful.  One of them is Herpes Zoster (shingles).   They tend to form linear clusters like you described,  Because treatment is available that may hasten the recovery from shingles and prevent lingering pain, I advise you to see a doctor. Strain: A strained muscle causes soreness and pain on use and takes a week or so to heal. Occasionally bumps in the lateral calf area are due to small herniations of fat tissue through the muscle. Meralgia paresthetic: If the area you refer to is the outer upper thigh, it can be caused by tight waistbands.  There is a simple condition called meralgia paresthetica that can cause this.  Increased weight is a cause too.

Painless cyst: It sounds like a benign ganglion cyst, which is round and palpable.  It commonly appears in ankle and wrist where the tendon is rubbing under the fibrous band.  It usually goes away after a few weeks.  It could be treated by needle aspiration, but it may return especially after repetitive movement of your foot.
