Neurological conditions that could cause such symptoms would include those that affect the spinal cord in the neck, and could include inflammatory / demyelinating conditions such as multiple sclerosis.

X-rays show only bone fractures and if the fracture line is very thin or the two or more pieces of bone are not far apart, the xrays can be negative.

Some metabolic conditions are also included.

Surgery is not always the approach, as a steroid injection and a series of hyaluronic acid injections might be preferred approaches.  Physical therapy definitely should be commenced.

Radiculopathy: This means  something in your spine is pressing on the nerves of your leg. You need to consult  a  neurologist,  you will need MRI , medications and  physical therapy.  Feel better.
