Consider this...: Left sided abdominal pain is a common location for gas causing cramps, ibs or diverticulosis (itis).  Gyn problems such as cysts and endometriosis are also considered.  Best to see your doctor if symptoms persist. Good luck!

If this pain has persisted, then you need a visit to the doctor in order to take a complete history and do a physical exam. From there, the doctor can do possible tests, such as blood tests or x-rays, to help narrow down the cause of the problem. Good luck.

Yes: does sound like a stone. pain is often severe, unrelieved by position.  pain occurs when the stone is trying to pass throught the ureter from the kidney to the bladder.  you should see your doc or go to er to have this diagnosed.  usually with a cat scan or ultrasound (ask for ultrasound, try to avoid radiation from cat scans).  If the stone is small it will pass on its own. hope this helps

It can be various: things such as tubal pregnancy if you are sexually activre, it can be a ruptured ovarian cyst , a kidney stone, gastritis, splenic disorder, acute pancreatitis , lower lobe pneumonia , etc. See your doctor.

General physician: You need to get a complete history and a good physical exam. I suspect you have at least two things going on. A competent physician needs to determine whether this is functional illness or a serious health problem, perhaps pulmonary hypertension.
