i took an x ray for my left calcaneus/ heel. finding : the calcaneus is intact. there is a tiny plantar spur. could you guide what doctor will i see to treat my heel to stop or reduce pain.

Heel pain: Usually a podiatrist or orthopedic surgeon is the physician that treats heel pain.  One of the more common causes of heel pain is plantar fasciitis; stretches, bracing, cortisone shots are the nonoperative things we try to get people better with that.  Many people with plantar fasciitis will have a plantar bone spur seen on X-ray.

its been 4months since my calcaneus injury. i noticed that the right part of my left leg ankle is hypersensitive whenever i touch it. is this normal?

Is not normal: It could be if the fracture was a displaced fx that a bone fragment may be presing upon omne of the nerve branches and may have produced an small nerve tumor called a neuroma or it could be that the skin is over sensitive due to the trauma of the fx and gradually will get better.

Not enough info: First off, you need to get a full evaluation from your physician regarding the fracture. Are you healed yet? Are you able to wear shoes? What was broken and how bad was it? Really need much more information in order to give you a reasonable answer. You should be asking your treating physician these questions.

i have a calcaneus fracture in my left heel. happened 5/27, now i have a small knot on the side of my right shin. could it be a blood clot?

Blood clot: First i hope your calcaneal fracture is non surgical and your in a medical or cam boot. But a blood clot usually represents pain at the calf and not in the anterior shin. Possible the pain at that site could be from your boot (if wearing on) or cast.

x-ray bilateral feet a tiny calcification is present adjacent to the lateral aspect of the 4th metatarsal head,and a small left plantar calcaneal spur. no other abnormality.could you please tell me what this all mean. thank you so much. ?

Depends on: your symptoms.  If you have no symptoms, these x-ray findings mean very little.  If you are having pain in these areas, these findings could mean degenerative changes that might require treatment with anti-infllammatory agents.

X-ray: Avulsion of the base of the 5th metatarsal at the insertion of the peroneus brevis muscle would be the most common cause. An ossicle at the same point could also be painfully arthritic. An x-ray will prove the Dx.  Healing simply takes careful neglect over time.

See below: If the fracture is not misaligned and no gap in the bone it can be treated with a cast.  Otherwise it may need surgery to realign the bone.

~ 3 months: While all calcaneus fractures aren't "equal" it usually takes about 3 months to "heal" but can take a year to fully recover.
