Many causes: Epigastric abdominal pain, with right and left upper quadrant abdominal pain can be produced from many causes, including: gastroparesis, biliary colic, peptic ulcer disease, hiatal hernia, gastritis, diaphragmatic spasm, achalasia, duodenitis, reflux esophagitis, diffuse esophageal spasm. Etiologies and treatments for these conditions are not the same.  More information is needed at this time.

Need doctor to check: Lower right abdominal pain can be from many things. For pain there, appendicitis is always a concern (pain can worsens over time, with fever coming on). If one had been constipated prior to the diarrhea, stool could have backed up the right side, and caused pain. Having gas may or may not be related to the discomfort (lactose intolerance will cause gas). A hernia or ovarian problem can cause pain.

Many possibilities: Finding the cause of abdominal pain is like solving a mystery, compiling clues from one's history, exam, & lab+/-radiology tests. The pain may be coming from the abdominal wall, the colon, the kidney, the liver+/-bile ducts. What worsens the pain?..Is it related to food...Activities?...Is it cramping, dull, sharp?..Is there nausea...Vomiting...Wt loss? I advise you to find a thorough doctor.

Mild pain after OR: If you are otherwise doing well, have been to at least one post operative appointment, then over the counter Ibuprofen may provide you relief. It is important to check in with your surgery team after any or procedure; especially if you have fever, vomiting or worsening pain.
