The : The most important thing is to have an exact diagnosis with your eye doctor.

Lazy eye or the technical term (amblyopia) refers to a vision deficiency in an eye that appears physically within normal limits. Amblyopia can affect one or both eyes resulting in a decrease of best-corrected visual acuity that is out of proportion to any visible organic problem in the eye.

The best response to treatment can be achieved when this condition is diagnosed in early childhood (preferably before one year of age).  There are different types of amblyopia and therefore different treatments. There are different treatment modalities in early childhood including but not limited to prescription of exact glasses.

Based on the medical knowledge at the time of this writing, treatment of amblyopia is generally ineffective during adult years.

: It is not feasible to provide an opinion without additional history, physical examination may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor to see if you may be depressed. Depression is treatable. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. OCT of Optic nerves: If one of the pupils is dilated then it may be an emergency aneurysm.  See an ophthalmologist or a neurologist urgently.  If not, you need to have an oct exam of the optic nerves to see if the blurriness in the lazy eye is loss of nerve fiber layer.  Oct can also show if you have a condition known as benign intracranial pressure.  Then your eye doctor will refer to a neurologist for a spinal tap.

You are lucky: He is still young enough for treatment.  Take him asap to see a pediatric ophthalmologist.  If you don't, he will have a blind eye forever.

Turning off vision: The human brain utilized the input of both eyes to aid in depth perception/distance etc. As a child grows, their eyes may have different strength, or weakness in an eye muscle may allow one to line up wrong. The fuzzy or double vision confuses the brain. Over time the brain may begin turning off the input of one eye & keep the best. That process is called amblyopia. If caught early it can be fixed.

Cosmesis: Often in teenagers or adults requests are made to straighten a strabismic eye.  This is done primarily for psychsocial reasons to make the eyes appear more natural.   Frequently, the eye misaligment is worse in one eye and surgery is often performed on the amblyopic eye only.  The vision however will not improve.
