my wife noticed a soft lump, ~1.5 inches, on my left upper back on my latissimus dorsi muscle. she felt it, cant see it, while rubbing back & made a remark thinking it was a muscle knot - but it doesnt feel tender or hurt. should i get it checked?

Sure: It could be a lipoma, a cyst or possibly a knot in the myofascia. If it isn't causing any problems - would have it examined at your next standard medical appointment (ie. annual medical check up).

The  basic idea is to help restore normal energy flow which in turn helps the muscle pain. There are also traditional chinese herbs to help restore balance or "harmony" in the body. Diet-try gluten/dairy free for 2 weeks.

Yes you can: yes you can if it is making you more comfortable.

you need to apply heat, and take muscle relaxant. and pain medication like naproxen or ibuprofen.

not better get MRI to make sure that there is no internal damages

Size of curve: Is important to determining best treatment to minimize symptoms. If your curve is small, then extension exercises can help. Also, painful scoliosis should be evaluated by an orthopedic spine surgeon to make sure that no other abnormalities are present.

I'm an expert having increased 10lb a week to benching my weight.
1) eat a decent amt protein don't starve.
2) find maximal lifting weight, use 80-90%
3) lift near maximal reps; wait 10 sec, lift 50% of that #, wait, lift 30%.
4) once daily workout.
