how to help extract large deep splinter?

See below: •wash your hands
•use tweezers to grab the splinter
•if the splinter is under the skin or hard to grab: sterilize a pin or needle by soaking it in rubbing alcohol or placing the tip in a flame. Use the pin to gently remove skin over the splinter. Then use the tip of the pin to lift the end of the splinter out. You will probably still need to use tweezers.

i constantly need to go to the restroom how do i deal with this overnight till the morning. this feeling isn't good i can't even lay down for 5 mins?

Please get your: bladder checked by your doctor or a specialist he/she sends you to.  You may need bladder surgery to correct this. Peace and good health.

why is it that my cough is more deep when i lay on my right side?

Right Bronchial tube: Your right bronchial tube which is the tube from your main airway to your lung is straighter and more direct than the left one.
If you do not know what your cough is caused from, you should definitely see your doctor.

why sometimes when i'm laying down i feel the need to take a really deep breath sometimes i wake up like that aswell?

Accepted Answer

: When you lie on your back there is some compression of the lung meaning  less volume so that may trigger the need for a deep breath. Side sleeping is better. May also be sleep apnea so would be evaluated for that especially if you snore. or due to reflux. Would follow up with  MD for assessment

i've had falls since my left lrfa, dr say he went deep in muscle&muscle is laying on nerve& will get better in 3w but he did no test, is this right?

Accepted Answer

Yes: It comes down to anatomy (where the nerve enters the muscle vs the incision site) Swelling will take a while to die down. Denervation due to nerve injury would not be detectable by EMG until 2 weeks minimum has lapsed.
Swelling associated with the injury and subsequent surgery would preclude getting a good look  with MRI for some time. You can isolate the nerves in surgery.

i have a large patch of eczema on my back which isn't going away and it's been there for the last two months or more, is there any way to deal with it?

No Scratch the Patch: Eczema is a chronic condition of the skin characterized by inflammation.  Often it is triggered by environmental changes (temp) or emotion (anxiety/stress).  The skin may itch, develop clear blisters, peel or thicken with time due to chronic rubbing or scratching.  It is often wise to confirm by biopsy a chronic lesion, especially if it fails to improve with a mild steroid cream, bleeds or grows.

Reflux?: You may also have reflux disease wherein stomach contact may backup to cause your cough when you lie on your side.    You should consult your doctor about this.

HIV is hard to get: This is not a scenario that describes how HIV is contracted.  Of course blood or semen can cause infection in they are directly introduced into the body's cavities. 

Contact through a cut in the skin just is not part of the story in those with HIV in the world. If it was health care workers, prison workers, spouses and other care givers at home would be  infected and they are not.

Sinus arrhythmia: Taking a deep breath affects the blood flow back to the heart, so fluctuations in the pulse often occur with breathing.  Occasional extra beats at rest are generally not worrisome if they go away with exercise.  The reverse, extra beats that occur with exercise, needs evaluation. If there is a family history of heart disease or irregular heart beat, see your doctor to confirm.

left ribs are normal until lower 3, a large gap separate them from the higher ones & they also seem to be deeper/pushed inward. what could this be?

Accepted Answer

Normal rib anatomy: No worries. That's completely normal. The ribs are not all the same size. They get smaller as they go down, and the lower ones are connected to each other by cartilage, rather than being connected to the breastbone like the higher ones. The last two ribs actually "float", i.e. are not attached to anything in the front, so if you are thin, you may be able to feel the tips of them on your sides.
