: I would recommend you see an infectious disease expert as they  may want to assess the stool and do a general examination to give you a more definitive response which the symptoms you describe deserves.

See Your Doctor: Stool color is affected by the diet and digestive processes. Some diseases interfere with normal digestion which can also lead to abnormal stool color and consistency.  More information is needed regarding dietary habits, stool patterns, abdominal pain, and more. Be aware that children may not complain of symptoms. See your doctor for a targeted exam which may also include inspection of his stool.

White stool: Stools can be of different color by one's intake.  Alot of antacids or a recent barium test could possible be a cause.  However if this persists liver disorders need to be ruled out.  A white (or clay colored stool) can signify lack of bile salts and an underlying liver condition.  I would take this seriously and see your pcp  asap.

Call your Peds: White generally means no bile is emptying into the intestines so the stool will have no color. If an infant, an urgent visit to your pediatrician is needed.  There may be need for an urgent surgical procedure that may not help if delayed.

White stool: Do you have pain? Was it mucus/ from strainign ? constipation? usually it is not from white powdered doughnuts ,but may represent gallbladder issues. Would call /be seen over next 48 hours. if pain go to ER
