Probable hydrocele: Urologist can take care of this otherwise benign problem with simple, fairly minor surgery. Dr will likely first advise scrotal ultrasound to rule out rare chance that you also have a testicular tumor.

Here are some ...: At this stage of post-hydrocelectomy, the surest best care is time and patience as long as slowly but surely getting better day by day unless superimposed infection may occur. The healing process highly varies reflecting the degree and amount of local tissue injury by therapeutic intention, surgeon's skill, patient's age, nutrition, medical comorbidities, etc. So, be patient and ask Doc timely.

Not systemic: Whole body sensations like this are common in anxiety or hyper awareness following a legitimate medical ailment.  Varicoceles are not the harbinger of any other vessel disease and varicoceles and vessels in general do not twitch.  The headache is also unrelated to the varicocele.

Scrotal enlargement: An enlarged scrotum may be the result of many problems within the scrotum.  There are several organs that can cause this and it requires a urologist to perform a physical exam and then treat accordingly.

Usual course: Your surgeon should have covered this in depth with you. If he or she did not, see someone who will.  Pain (or discomfort as we doctors call it), swelling and some bruising are all normal.  The most intense portion lasts about three days. Everyone is a bit different, but most are back to nearly normal within a few weeks.

But it has been known that the surgical wound takes 2-6 months to mature up to 75-85% and becomes fully mature in 2 yrs, but never back to the original 100%, probably at 95% at most. This is life reality. As to long hanging sac, that can not be corrected with hydrocelectomy, which is only to correct fluid collection...

i have large thighs and my scrotum is in the way of them. jock straps dont work and i cannot put my legs together. it makes sitting down very uncomfortable as well as driving, walking and sleeping. what can i do about this?

Very interesting...: A teen boy would have been getting annual check-ups. His pediatrician would have checked for proper pubertal growth of the penis, testicles, and scrotum at each annual exam... that's the usual care boys get. In any case, a thorough exam is needed now by an Adolescent Medicine or Family Medicine doctor, or maybe an endocrinologist, to see if the scrotum and testes are malpositioned.

Probably: There is no way to tell without seeing it, but it's most likely totally normal. Check w/your doctor at the next visit and they will advise you.
