Polyps: An anatomic or pathologic diagnosis should have been available long before now. You can't exclude malignancy  until the tissue diagnosis is available. Even if no malignancy is found you must be under the care of a gastroenterologist or colorectal surgeon for treatment and thorough surveillance for your multiple polyposis of the colon.

i just found out i have a large polyp in my rectum. it is cancerous. i am suppose to fly to jamaica this friday. is it safe for me to fly with a polyp?

Stay on the ground: Get your definitive treatment. Delay can be deadly. With the pressure changes involved and a mass that may obstruct your bowel or start bleeding, you're asking to have a medical catastrophe on the plane and greatly inconvenience a few hundred people. That's my advice. I'm a pilot too and would not let you fly in my plane. Best wishes.

Maybe: Larger growths can contain cancer, but other polyps can be large and still be fully benign. Pathology would review the polyp after it is removed.

Colon polyps: Can be cancerous or precancerous. They can be removed colonoscopically or surgically. Talk with a GI endowcopist about your options.

sort ofm: Since you were negative a year ago, you must have bled to warrant re-exam. Rapid growth is a sign of cancer. I note you do not use. 81 mg Aspirin that may inhibit polyp transformation and growth.

Estrogen: Estrogen rises dramatically in pregnancy. Polyps are estrogen dependent growths. So it's not uncommon to see polyps grow during pregnancy.

Unlikely from poly: Polypectomies rarely cause pain. Some colon spasm can be present but typically in the first 1-2 days. At two weeks it is unlikely due to a injury through your colon wall either. If the pain is only present during a bowel movement it is likely an anal fissure. Constant pain and pressure can be diverticulitis and/or constipation. Stool softeners and a gradual increase in fiber intake may be helpful.

Yes: Developing a new polyp may not be unusual , if you have a family history ( blood relatives ) of several members has colon cancer , is a concern , need genetic counseling and genetic study .Discuss with your doctor , will get best advice.

Need close observati: You need more close observation than general population,  and colonoscopy in 6 months unlike  usual surveillance  colonoscopy. If all polyps are not removed even more frequently .If you your family members have colonic polyps, or colon ca family needs genetic counseling and tests.

what can i do for dry nostrils they hurt and sometimes bleed from it i have very large polyps in my nose my dr said it causes this but didn't give any?

Dry nostrils: There is a saline gel available that keeps nostrils nice and moist without any side effects.
