See a doctor : Large lumps that occur suddenly always should be checked out by a doctor. Most "lumps" are not serious but some are. Your doctor will determine if further tests are needed.

See Head &amp; Neck doc.: Possible lymph  node vs. parotid gland mass other rare cause.  Enlarged nodes from 1) normal response to inflammation 2) lymph node cancer 3) regional cancer moved to lymph node 4) weird infections.   Parotid masses usuallu require surgery but 80% are benign. If this has been present for more than a few weeks please see a doc experienced in head and neck disease.  Usually a Plastic Surgeon or ENT.

Different options: The neck has a lot of things in it both in the skin and below it.  Sweat glands, hair follicles and skin cysts as well as lymph nodes, fatty tissue, vessels, tendons and other things.  Is the lump growing, inflamed, painful, painless, draining, recurrent or constant, moveable or fixed...?  Each of these (and many more) will provide your doc the answers as to what it is and what needs to be done.

Skin: This is likely a skin issue like an ingrown hair or small abscess. Have someone look at it or take a picture so you can see it.  If it gets larger or hurts more the go see your Doc.

Neck mass: Se an ENT  as this could be a sebaceous cyst, a lymph node or parotid gland neoplasm, among other things. It warrants an exam and possibly imaging, followed by a biopsy or removal of the mass.

Neck lump: lymph nodes are commonly found in the neck to be enlarged when fighting an infection. Lumps that are changing should be evbaluated

Possible cyst: It could be an infection if it is hot and red. If not then it could be a thyroglossal duct cyst. See your doc.

Surgeon or Derm.: Ask your dentist or primary care physician.  Give them more details on the history of the mass(es) and any symptoms associated with them.  They will probably send you to an oral surgeon or dermatologist depending on their clinical findings.  It's good that it hasn't changed much (usually that suggests it's benign).  Could be a number of different things.

my gp prescribed me antibios for abscess/sebaceous cyst behind ear now i have a large boil like lump on neck. what does this mean?

Go back to doctor: Without being able to see this there is no way in which to diagnose. Go back and let your doctor decide.
