Please clarify: Hi. I don't understand your question. Lantus (insulin glargine) is only given once per day (not 3 times/day). Lantus (insulin glargine) is a basal insulin (flat, non-peaking) and does not cover meal insulin requirements, which are the 3 times/day injections. The dose  of Lantus (insulin glargine) is determined on an individual basis, but if you mean is the dose from a Lantus (insulin glargine) pen the same as the dose from a vial using a syringe, the answer is yes.

Only if prescribed: They are both long acting insulins, rarely prescribed together. A more common schedule contains either one and regular or short acting insulin.

Look at the insert: Most Insulin syringe manufacturers discourage the practice of keeping Insulin for a prolonged period of time in the syringes specially with long acting analogs like lantus (insulin glargine).  I do tell my patients that it is ok for short acting insulins to be preloaded in a syringe if you are going out to eat but no longer than 2-3 hrs.

Yes: The syringe size is not the issue, it's the volume of fluid and the needle. The syrine may not be calibrated to small volumes. Better to use 1ml syrine with small calibrations.

Injecting air: Not a good idea  -  small amounts of air - what might be trapped in a syringe usually isnt a problem but large volumes  - 20-30 cc can cause an air embolism and death.

Do not do: Human blood should not be used for an art project due to the possible spread of disease. The artwork would be considered a hazardous material.

Yes: If the syringe is in the skin or muscle probably not.
If it is in a vein yes air can kill you. The volume of air would have to be more than a few cc,s so a bubble likely will have no harm .
The air will act like an embolus or clot traveling to the lungs

Nothing: Its a steroid its in you r body already and there is nothing to do about it. Depending on dosage you may experience some weight gain temporary, feel a bit stimulated abut your immune function will be a bit suppressed a few days.

Infection: If others have used it transmission of disease is the biggest concern. In addition to transmission of disease is introducing bacteria to the bloodstream resulting in positive blood cultures and possible infection that could cause sepsis.  If you have no option in using a new syringe foe your medications. At least boil it to decrease chances of bad things happening.
