Neither should help with vertigo dizziness unless this is related to psychosomatic pathology, but this is a siagnosis of exclusion.

Please let your: doctor know. Sometimes antidepressants can trigger mania or hypomania. The lamictal may or may not be able to prevent that.  The lamictal dose can be increased if your doctor decides to do that. When one mood stabilizer is not sufficient - often a second mood stabilizer is added.

can mood stabilizers cause scaling on the scalp?i have been on lamotrigine 50mg twice a day for a while now and my scalp has started to itch like crazy to the point where i feel like pulling my hair out.i have had dandruff before but never like this?

: Lamotrigine can cause an itchy rash which could lead to a life-threatening Stevens-Johnson Syndrome.  It is likely safest to immediately contact your doctor.  Seems also best to find a different medication ASAP, as based on your post, the lamotrigine should be stopped.

Maybe: Lamotrigine is an anti seizure medication also used to help people with bipolar disorder have fewer severe mood episodes.  Duloxetine is an snri antidepressant that can help treat symptoms of depression and anxiety as well as pain.  Lamotrigine has been associated with a rare but dangerous rash and duloxetine can cause sexual side effects, weight gain and sedation.

I have seen cycling: As rapid as every 12 hours that was very clear and distinct and not a mixed state. I am sure others have seen even  more rapid cycling. Ultra- ultra rapid cycling (uurc), is defined as several episodes within 24-48 hours. Rapid cycling ( 4 or more per year) is more common in women, premenstrually, menopausally, or at the puerperium. Maoi's and tricyclics, and low comt gene variant increase uurc.

Not usually: It is very rare that lamotrigine would cause increased sensitivity to the sun. That said, though, it's important to limit direct exposure to the sun and to protect your skin when you're outside. If you notice a rash, blistering, or other skin problem after being in the sun, see your doctor in case it may be the result of a medication you are taking.

Potentially bad.: Most cases reporting lamotrigine exposures observed mild or no toxicity; however, large exposures were associated with severe CNS depression, seizures, cardiac conduction delays, wide complex tachycardia, and death. In adults with a serum concentration &gt;25 mg/L, severe toxicity may occur. In patients ≤3.5 years of age, ingestions of ≥525 mg may produce severe CNS depression and seizures.
