Probably: Very early in pregnancy movements  may vary.  However, later on, especially in the third trimester movements should occur daily.  In the last few weeks of pregnancy i recommend kick counts (6-10 movements the hour after you eat).  In your case since i don't know her gestational age, have her call her OB today and see if some fetal monitoring is needed or nonstress test needed.  Don't delay.

See your doctor: An 8 kg weight gain over 10 months with an enlarging abdomen should be checked by your gynecologist or family doctor. Some possibile causes include pregnancy, fibroids, tumor, and many other causes. Your doctor will be able to be more specific as to the cause after a thorough examination and possibly some diagnostic tests.

GYN/GI causes: At the age of 49, your risk of cancer can be increased and it's possible that you may have a disorder of your ovaries/liver that may be causing the collection of fluid in your abdomen, leading to your belly growing. I hope it's not the case that this is something bad, but you should really see your doctor about this.

Yes.: 5 months is about 20wks, so the top of the uterus is only at the level of your belly button. See how you measure at the subsequent appointments as you proceed to 24wks, 28wks, 32wks, etc. Don't forget that it's the size of the uterus that gets measured, not how much belly you have. Too many variables: People often just die immediately or soon after gunshot wounds to the abdomen. In any one situation, there are too many variables involved so a person cannot guess what might happen in the 10 minutes after a shooting, much less guess what happens 10 days after a shooting. Prevention is key. Avoid getting shot.
