No: Maltitol is a disaccaride produced by hydrogenation of maltose. It is a low calorie sweetener. It causes less decay. It is more slowly  absorbed than sucrose which make it more suitable in diabetic patents.

Generally not used: Generally decongestants are not recommended in children younger than age 4-6 because of the potential for side effects. If your child is having allergic congestion you should check with your doctor about meds, but a tsp of benadryl, (diphenhydramine) or 1 tsp of loratidine, the anti histamine in lorinase would be ok. But check with your doctor
saline nose sprays can also aid in combating nasal congestion

Don&#x27;t see it much: It is the trade name for Buclizine. It is an antihistaminic drug which has been tried in several medical conditions with limited success. These include motion sickness, allergic conditions, vomiting, migraine, etc. A drug company has recently dragged it out of the closet to promote it as an appetite stimulant for children.  I am not a fan.

: There is limited benefit from cough syrups. Taking two at the same time, increases the side effects. Drink fluids,rest, monitor your temperature and if the cough worsens, is present for more than three weeks, please see your physician.

Cough syrup is a preferred substance to abuse for some because of its wide availability and low cost. Addicts drink these syrups undiluted or mixed with other drugs, juices or sodas. See your doctor if you are addicted.

Yes, but...: The downside of the diet

living on a maple syrup concoction for several days will probably leave you weak and with less muscle.
The major problem with the diet and that it lacks protein, fiber, and nutrients for bruits and vegetables. He risk muscle loss, increased fatigue, overall malnutrition.
