Not typically: There are some spinal deformities that can affect lung function, scoliosis being the most described.  It has been pretty well described that scheuermanns kyphosis does not typically severely affect lung function, and so that alone is not used as a reason to do surgery for that condition. TB: Yes, it's called pott's disease. It is usually spread by the bloodstream from a source in the lungs(typically) or by ingestion orally.However, lung symptoms may not be obvious and the infection settles in the spine. It can cause spinal deformity, nerve damage and other effects . Rarely, TB can be acquired in utero, bypassing the lungs entirely and settling in the spine.

Mgt: I would advise that you have a pulmonary function test and discuss possible optimal treatment and repair with an Orthopedic surgeon. 
Chest wall restriction can affect lung function and lead to restrictive disease. Symptoms often appear later in the course.

28/m. my dorsal spine mri says "dorsal kyphosis is lost". my chest hurts since 2 yrs and i now feel this lost curvature is the reason. lung/heart ok??

Hard to say: There is a normal amount of kyphosis seen in the thoracic spine.  But an MRI is not a good test for kyphosis, because the MRI is done with a patient laying on the back and it is normal for a person to lose much of their kyphosis in that position.  Full length standing X-rays with flexion and extension views are the typical way spine alignment is assessed.

: Neck kyphosis just means the usual spine forward bowing below the skull at the level of your neck is replaced. The head tits forward with a rear positioned spine in a continuous rounded hump like back bowing of the spine below. There may be a connection in your case, but many life with this pattern &amp; do not get headaches.
