TB: Yes, it's called pott's disease. It is usually spread by the bloodstream from a source in the lungs(typically) or by ingestion orally.However, lung symptoms may not be obvious and the infection settles in the spine. It can cause spinal deformity, nerve damage and other effects . Rarely, TB can be acquired in utero, bypassing the lungs entirely and settling in the spine.

Yes: It is possible to get tuberculosis of the spine which can cause significant damage and deformity. However, it usually has pain along with the infection. The TB germs may enter the body through the lungs but then be controlled there but circulate and cause their major damage outside the lungs sometime later.
