Kombucha: Just as with green tea, any weight loss benefits with Kombucha would be minimal. Drinking Kombucha without eating a healthy diet &amp; exercising, will likely not lead to significant weight loss. The rule still applies that calories burned must exceed calories in to lose weight.

Fermented drink: Made from tea, sugar, bacteria and yeast. Some reports of adverse effects like stomach upset, infections an allergic reactions. Often brewed at home under non sterile conditions, making contamination likely. If ceramic pots used then lead poisoning may be a concern. I will advice not to used specially if you have arrhythmic heart problems.

That'd be a first: You're the guy with the elevated RDW, correct?  Some folks always run a high GGT -- it's genetic. Your ropinirole isn't noted for raising GGT but medications can do this unpredictably. More worrisome causes of high GGT include liver tumors -- these would typically also elevate your alkaline phosphatase.

Always check with : Your doctor first on how anything you take affects your INR and platelet time. The more Vitamin K activity, the more it will affect this. A teabag is similar to a teaspoon of loose tea leaves. So volume of leaves will determine strength of tea, and how long you seep it, and how concentrated it is. How much you imbibe (total volume.) Google it to find out kombucha specifics &amp; discuss with your Dr.

Kombucha: I did not read the earlier entry. There have been some case reports of hepatotoxicity with Kombucha. It would be more  likely to cause a problem if there is a pre-existing health problem. Easily treated : Cataracts come in all sizes.  They are easily treated by an opthalmologist. Help her reduce her worry. Very simple thing to have and to treat.  The opthalmologist will decide the best time and size when to treat it.

Get second opinion: Cataracts that need surgery is a rare thing in this age range.  I suggest a second opinion if surgery has been recommended.
