See below:: Knee is superficial, ie, without much muscle protecting/covering it, while other 2 are deeply located and nicely protected.
The knee is easily injured for lack of the muscles; the knee, being a weight bearing joint is prone to twisting injuries, with strains/sprains frequently occurring, many times more so than the other 2. Also knee is an unstable joint with no inherent stability, like the hip.

my knee joint keeps locking after injury,very painful. it creaks, had an x-ray after paramedic popped back into place, but found nothing? why?

X-ray shows bones: The X-ray will predominantly show the presence or lack of any injury to the bone.  You could have a normal X-ray, but still have a sprain injury, or more serious injuries such as to tendons, ligaments, or to a meniscus.  Some of these more serious injuries will heal with time, but some of them require surgery.  Locking is often a symptom of an injured meniscus.

Knee injury : Not all knee injuries are cartilaginous, but if it’s a torn meniscus then In 2 months or do you should be ok to resume normal activities without surgery.  Years ago many surgeons did arthroscopic surgery without giving torn meniscus a chance to heal.
One negative in having meniscus surgery is possible accelerated djd.
   Glucosamine is unlikely to be beneficial.

Nerve injury recover: Nerves consist of insulation called myelin and fibers which carry signals.  If only the myelin has been damaged, usually function will return. If the nerve has been partially severed, some recovery is possible.   If the nerve has been completely severed then recovery is not likely. A test called electromyography/nerve conduction study can tell the type of injury and the best treatment.

Unsure?: By your quesiton, I am unsure.  However, if you believe you have an infections in your knee, anywhere, please see a doctor immediately and have it examined and appropriately treated.  Knee infections are very serious and the sooner it is treated, the better.  Don't delay.  Get seen!
