Atenolol: Atenolol caused fasciculations in a study involving over 75, 000 people at a rate of 0.28. % or 28/1000 people, all of them within the first month of treatment only. The older the patient, the greater the likelihood of fasciculations.On a study of Clonazepam in 35, 000 people, all of them still on the drug rated it as severe and it continued as long as they were on the drug. The rate was 0.48%

is serotonin syndrome rare? my psychiatrist prescribed me 20mg of lexapro once a day and 50mg of trozodone for night time. i'm always currently tapering off klonopin. i get occasional headaches, muscle stiffness, restless legs and muscle twitches.

Serotonin syndrome: I have never seen a case of serotonin syndrome but have been careful not to prescribe the vast array of medications that shouldn't be combined with ssri's like lexapro. I don't believe that trazodone or klonopin raise serotonin levels and therefore can be taken with lexapro. However I would like you to verify this with your pharmacist who has access to more information than most physicians.

i've had constant twitching or fluttering in right pectoral. just finished clonazepam three days ago. any concern?

Benzo withdrawl?: This is the time we look for Clonazepam withdrawl symptoms,  which include elevated heart rate and blood pressure,  sweating, tremulousness, anxiousness, and rarely: temperature and seizures.  Twitching could be an indication of the tremulousness and less likely an indication of seizure risk.  As withdrawl from this class of medication can be life threating, please call your prescribing doctor.

Probably.: Memory loss is common with sedative medications.

can klonopin or wellbutrin (bupropion) cause high prolactin levels?

Accepted Answer

Well ...: In theory, Wellbutrin (bupropion) could cause hyperprolactinemia but in all honesty, I've never seen it occur in clinical practice.  Also, Klonopin (a medication that works on the GABA system) can actually inhibit prolactin release.  So, short answer is ... It's possible but very unlikely. Hope that helps!

Klonopin (clonazepam) IV: Klonopin (clonazepam) is not available at least the United States in an IV form.

No: if the lab was sent out for liquid or gas chromatographic confirmation testing then there is no likelihood the klonopin (clonazepam) is a false positive for methadone.

Accepted Answer

Possibly: You may have some mild withdrawal ( which means you would have some physical dependence). If you want to stop, I would take half the dose for several days.

For the most part no: Drug induced anemia - low red blood cell counts - from klonopin (clonazepam) is exceptionally rare, basically case reportable(meaning it's so rare that cases of this are published for doctors to better understand).  While there are reported incidents, in general, anemia isn't felt to be a common side effect at all.

research shows long term benzo use can cause blepharospasm.  i take 2mg 2x a day of klonopin (clonazepam) x 11 years  will quitting help w blepharospasm?  thx

It probably should,: but Tourettes and facial tics can also cause blepharospasm. See your Dr before you stop any meds
