Klonopin  Allergy: Klonopin (Clonazepam) a benzodiazepine medication that is used to treat panic disorder &amp; to prevent &amp; treat seizures.   It has been used for many other conditions as well. Allergic reactions to medications could include swelling of tongue, throat, lips, mouth, face, hives or difficulty breathing.

Antihistamine: I would favor a nondrowsy antihistamine like claritin. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and zyrtec cause drowsiness and are probably alright to take at bedtime. Your pharmacist can offer you good advice in this matter as he/she knows all information and interaction problems with your medications.

Don&#x27;t be scared: Astepro and klonopin can interact causing CNS depression and psychomotor impairment, but you are on low doses though, so it is unlikely, for allergic rhinitis astepro can be replaced by a steroid nasal spray, ask your doctor about it, he/she knows your case better and can advise you

Swollen eye: If you've been on those 2 meds for 2 months, it'd be strange for it to cause a reaction all of a sudden now.   Couple things can cause a swollen eye: allergies, trauma (a scratch), a stye, infection (pink eye or cellulitis).  Concerning symptoms include significant discharge, pain, and blurry vision. Yes but ...: As long as the qt segment on your ECG is ok at rest and monitored while on the drug , a simple antihistamine is fine. The ones with a decongestant are not good under any conditions as it may cause rhythm problems and htn.

Taking meds together: I assume your question is if it is ok for you to take both clonazepam and benadryl (diphenhydramine) together since both of them make you drowsy. Clonazepam can be inside your system very long since it has a long half life, like a week to 10 days. However its action duration lasts for about 6-12 hours only. How much drowsiness you have when you take both medications depending on your tolerance. In general, it's ok.

Maybe: These 2 drugs have additive effects when given together although not contraindicated.  A better choice would be Allegra or Zyrtec rather than Benadryl (diphenhydramine).  Hope that helps!
