wednesday (1/3), my coworker threw up at work. before she felt sick that day, she kissed me on the cheek an hour prior. its now been 56 hrs since the last time i saw her. can i still get this? or is there a good chance i have been spared?

Spared: vomiting can be from many causes: if not ill now, go about your normal life.

have cold sore and 10 month old touched then rubbed eyes. also kissed him on cheek around eye (forgot) 
are cold sores dangerous for 10 month olds like newborns? im so upset he may get ocular herpes from this or ill

Have to be lucky: A lucky baby won't get eye herpes, but will just get it in the mouth or around the mouth. Babies touch their eyes often, but we rarely see babies get eye herpes. Life is just that way. That said, a baby in this situation might just take a nice long bath to get clean and then go enjoy the rest of his day. If he's a typical kid and lucky, he'll get no herpes this time or get the usual oral herpes.

my dog vomited, and before i knew i was kissing her head, and she might have had a little bit on her, should i be worried for myself getting sick?

Probably not: Usually shouldn't transfer same germs - esp if dog isn't sick (if it was only a vomit bc of eating a wrong thing).  I would swish with LIsterine and brush my teeth really well! ;)

can dogs spread mono/strep? for example, if you are sick and you kiss your dog on its head and then someone else pets him?

DOG/ STREP THROAT: Yes even though dogs do not get stept tonsillitis, but they can carry the strep bacteria and pass on to other humans.So if you have strep throat you should not kiss the dog till it clears up.

Possible: Possible, since the virus can spread via airborne route or from contact with contaminated surface.

Unusual: Herpes simplex is usually transmitted from the infected persons mucosa to another persons exposed mucosa or skin surface so kissing on the cheek would be an unusual way of getting herpes Symplex but it is certainly possible especially if there was any preceding trauma involved but a definitive skin biopsy smear could be done along with consultation with your infectious disease physician

Nothing: There should be no transfer with just a kiss on the cheek.  That being said, you should get treated; it is a single dose of an intramuscular injection.

Herpes: Usually herpes spreads from mucus membrane to another mucus membrane or open sore. It is highly unlikely to transmit herpes with contact of healthy intact skin.
