See answer: Large doses of cinnamon can CAUSE kidney stone by increasing the amount of oxalate in the urine. The most common kidney stone is composed of calcium oxalate. Large doses of turmeric will do the same thing. Color of urine probably not effected, but not certain about it's affect on urine color.

my wife is diagnosed with kidney stones so after medication milk from breasts is not coming. i have a 4 month old baby. please suggest fr breast milk?

Pump or nursing?: Check with the prescribing MD to see if medication can be the cause. At four months many women's breasts reduce in size but still produce adequate milk. PUMPS use vacuum pressure to get milk out and in some it can become less and less effective. The baby nursing works the nipples differently and they can usually work the milk down. Good urine output indicates baby is getting the milk. No? See MD

Maybe: There are many types of kidneys stones and causes.  Some require specific medications and monitoring to prevent future stones.  But in general, drinking plenty of water (2 liters per day) and avoiding excess salt and protein can help prevent stones in people who have had them in the past. Make sure to see your doctor.

Kidney stones: can be very painful and sometimes require narcotics such as morphine for pain control.  Have your doctor prescribe stronger medication, and also make sure that you don't have an associated kidney infection.

Depends on stone: If a stone is confirmed by X-ray or scan, only kind dissolvable is uric acid, but these are only 5-10% of stones. Other stones have to pass on their own, or be removed by a urologist. ER only necessary for severe pain. Otherwise can be seen in office or clinic by urologist or primary care doc.

Fluids: kidney stones are painful.  You can drink fluids to increase you urine volume.  Try water.  Don't increase fluids by drinking more soda or high fructose energy drinks.  If you need pain medications see your doctor.  Good luck hope you pass them soon.

Thou will not pass: The chance of that passing spontaneously is almost nil.  6 mm is getting towards the upper limit of what will pass.  They may be other options such as lithotrypsy depending on a few variables. Would discuss this with your urologist.

Possible: Whiles a 5.5 mm stone may successfully pass, it usually causes a great deal of severe pain in doing so.  The stone may be treated with lithotripsy while it is in a non-obstructing position in the kidney.

BP and stones: No. Medication for kidney stones typically lowers BP a bit. HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide) is usual and this lowers BP.
