A member asked:

I have a 9mm kidney stone and my dr gave me some medication... would it pass or i will need a surgery??

Thou will not pass: The chance of that passing spontaneously is almost nil. 6 mm is getting towards the upper limit of what will pass. They may be other options such as lithotrypsy depending on a few variables. Would discuss this with your urologist.
