See your doctor: Your symptoms may represent an allergic reaction to the sulfa component of bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim).  This allergic reaction may also affect the kidney and cause kidney injury and hence, it is important that you see your doctor soon. I am also  unclear as to why you would be taking Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) for such a prolonged period of time.

A primary care doctor or dermatologist can examine both the rash and the patient, to find a treatment.

There are vasculitis mimics such as thrombotic (blood clot) diseases.

Because: There is poor oxygen and nutrion in the blood supplying the tissue....The vessels are also usualy inflammed and damage has occured to the vessel walls..All this sets up an undesirable situation which is often painful.
