Yes, you are wasting: Daily requirement of B12 is less than 3 microg ,  even with gastric by gastric bypass you produce intrinsic and  can absorb it in the distal ileum , any excess beyond liver storage capacity will be eliminated by the body . Vegans also need supplementation . Speak to your doctor , if you want your B12  levels could be checked.

See your surgeon: you need to see your surgeon to make sure that there is no leak that will irritate the diaphragm and cause all this symptoms.

Recurrent UTI: You do have multiple organ problems. It is true that recurrent UTI could affect the kidney function, especially if you have pain. You may need more tests such as blood tests, ultra sound,CAT or MRI and other kidney function tests as well as bladder voiding test Please discuss with your doctor asap. You may also need referral to specialists e.g urologist and/or nephrologist. Take care and good luck

I wasn't able to see the remainder of your question due to the character limit, but small bowel obstructions are usually diagnosed with clinical findings in combination with radiographic findings. lower back pain three months out. very limited to what i can take. no nsaids due to gastric bypass. any suggestions?

: If you do not have significant hypertension or chronic kidney disease, a short course of celecoxib (a cox-2 inhibitor which is not contraindicated in most stomach conditions) with other med for chronic pain such as gabapentin, pregabalin or duloxetine along with physical therapy. Alternative therapy is steroid injection or ultrasound ablation. Of course, cause of back pain needs to be identified.

lower back pain, navel pain, followed by vomiting and nausea after bypass surgery. i made some alfredo and i think this triggered but want to make sure. i had gastric bypass surgery and it was very uncomfortable. the pain was behindmy shoulder blade ?

O ver eating : Probably right. The Alfredo was probably too rich and too much for your sensitive bypass.  If it has got better you are probably OK. Good Luck

Options: Probably theist popular weight loss operation at the moment is a sleeve gastrectomy. Its not really less invasive, but has less potential for long term side effects. There are also some newer endoscopic therapies, but they are not so effective. Ask your doctor if a consultation with a Bariatric surgeon is appropriate. Hope this helps!

Of course: I am not sure by what you mean by "hurt" all surgery has some postoperative discomfort. But, if you are asking the potential complications of gastric bypass--your surgeon should discuss these at length with you. For many obese patients, bypass, is a logical step after trying"everything" and you have med problems. If you feel you are being "rushed" into bypass surgery, please get another opinion.
