Yes: If you haven't had a period since May, then you are definitely late.  There can be a few different reasons for missing a period.  Most common is hormonal imbalance.  After that, then weight (being thin or heavy) can be the cause.  Thyroid is another reason.  If you're period hasn't occurred after 3 months from your last period, then you might consider seeing a physician to find out why.

Variability of cycle: Variability of menstrual cycle lengths is highest for women under 25 yrs. Of age.  Having a cycle 3 days late, in a 21yo female is very common and the bleeding period can also vary. This all fall within the normal range. So, not much to worry at this point. The menstrual cycle is most regular  from ages 35-39. The variability increases for women between the ages of 40-44. Thanks.

Pregnancy or other: If you have essentially "skipped" a period, then a pregnancy test must be checked first.  If this is negative, then the explanation is likely absent or irregular ovulation.  This is very common in young women.  After testing for thyroid disease and elevation of a hormone called prolactin, talk with your doctor about  birth contol pills.
