male,29,diabetic (mody hba1c 6.5, janumet (sitagliptin and metformin)  once and metfor 500mg  at night) whenever i travel say around 70km or more my sugar increase over 220 mgdll?

Need more info: yIf you truly have MODY with a strong family history of the same, I would need to know what type.  If type 3 (most common) the best treatment is not janumet (sitagliptin and metformin) (metformin and Januvia) but a type of drug called a sulfonylurea like glyburide.  No reason why traveling 70 km should increase BG except if you are driving and snacking a lot while you driving.

i am 25 male with mody i'm insulin dependant .. my.doctor told me about stem cell therapy but i wanna knw if it's 100% curable as it costs so much ?

Don't do it: I wouldn't do it. There are a lot of charlatans out there and this is not yet a mainstream treatment for diabetes. What I'd do is phone the Joslin clinic at Harvard and see if you can get entered in a study.

is it safe for me to take nurofen 200mg? it says on the back of the packet to talk to a doctor or a pharmacist if you have diabetes and i have diabetes i have mody type 2, like how does nurofen interact with diabetes? thankyou

Nurofen: Taken at normal dose age is ok. To high  a dose may have an effect on sugar levels.

May be dehydrated: Too much ketones in the urine can be a sign that you are dehydrated or not eating enough carbs.

Yes, they're a scam: There's no good scientific work that they do anything good or bad for you. It's your money. Why not spend it enjoying some real fresh raspberries instead?

Ketones: Ketones can indicate ketoacidosis in a diabetic or a sign of starvation ( not eating.).

i've tried many diets in the last 5 years, 1200 cal, dash, keto, fasting etc. now i'm working with a nutritionist and she gave me a 1600 cal diet which i thought was not gonna work because of the amount of cal. but it's the only one working, why?

: It is always better to eat the appropriate amount of calories in order to lose weight. It you eat less, your body thinks it is "starving" and then it more effectively stores fat. Also when you eat less calories you tend to be less active and then burn less calores during the day. With those two things happening, you do not lose weight.

Starvation result: When your body starves, you start breaking down alternative fuel like fats. This makes ketones, an end product.

We all want it cured: You are not alone in wanting this cured. Hopefully it will be in your lifetime. In the meantime, you should try to get control that is as good as possible without intolerable hypoglycemia and allowing a normal life. There are many devices and techniques that can assist with this, but this is a team effort.  You, your doctor, and perhaps a diabetes educator, all need to be on the same team.

is heterosexual spread of hhv8 confirmed? many years ago i had unprotected sex with a kenyan (mid 20s, female) student in australia. i only recently found out about hhv8 and how prevelant it is in africa?

: It has not been firmly established to be a sexually transmitted infection. There is only very little chance that it is transmitted via blood products and perinatally. It can be transmitted through body fluids, mainly saliva, and most infections are subclinical and can go unnoticed.
