Nope -- different: Allergies can make you feel woozy-headed and less alert -- especially if taking sedating antihistamines, etc.  But this isn't the same as depersonalization or derealization, which are more mind-altering experiences than this.  These symptoms may come with various kinds of anxiety, substance intoxication or withdrawal, and some types of psychosis. They are involuntary also.

After : After 2 weeks without any other symptoms, you may want to look into other reasons for your laryngitis.

There are number functional and anatomical problems that can cause prolonged laryngitis such as:
- otherwise silent reflux related changes, 
- vocal fold hemorrhage (broken blood vessels), 
- muscle tension dysphonia, 
- benign or malignant growths (especially if you are a smoker)

these can be diagnosed via a laryngoscopic exam performed by an otolaryngologist otherwise known as an ear nose and throat doctor.  If your laryngitis persists, you may want to have your doctor recommend a specialist who has the tools to complete a more thorough exam.

i know seasonal allergies come with several symptoms, including a scratchy/itchy throat, but can they cause the throat to become red and a bit sore?

Allergies: Yes, seasonal allergies can cause a post-nasal drip and a subsequent sore throat.

Viral syndrome: Most likely you have viral  upper respiratory tract infection that is causing sneezing, sore throat and coughing. You do not mention whether you have fever. If you develop high fever and/or  increasing pain on swallowing,  you have to be examined by a physician to rule out streptococcal throat infection.

hi. i have an allergy to dogs and lately when i get near them my throat goes all scratchy and sore. is this a symptom of pet allergies? i also suffer asthma symptoms near them and post nasal drip?

Probably yes: Sometimes a simple non-sedating antihistamine such as Allegra 24 hr tablet will prevent the symptoms.  There are also pets which are nonallergenic.  An allergist, immunologist, pulmonary doc or family doc can help.

my brother has a chesty cough (not hacking but kinda wheezy), congestion and a sore throat. could it be covid or just allergies? if i'm been exposed, should i quarantine? no one else in the family has symptoms?

: Definitely would suggest testing/ getting evaluated, it can be COVID or any other viral or bacterial infection. Not a bad idea to quarantine for until having a better sense of what is going on.

i get 'common cold' symptoms for a day after i swim in a pool the last 4-5 times. sore throat, sinus, sneezing. could it be a chlorine allergy?

No but: Chlorine can irritate your nose and trigger asthma for those who have the condition.  It is not an allergy however. I suspect that you may have a hay fever issue which is worsened by the chlorine exposure.

my brother became sick for about 4 days, and went out of town and got tested for covid, and was positive. i developed a slight sore throat, stuffy nose, and next day(today) tested negative pcr test. dont feel any more symptoms. allergies? am safe?

: Negative PCR test does not absolutely rule out Covid-19 infection. With the history of exposure along with your symptoms, you are likely infected but your symptoms have resolved so you are safe. If it's already 10 days since the first symptom, you are no longer a host. If you really want to know if you are infected or not, you can have blood test next month checked for natural immunity related Ab.
