IVF: You do a pregnancy test (hcg in serum) and a Progesterone level. Some physicians will order an Estradiol also, but not as commonly. This is done on day 16 from the date of the egg retrieval.

Several things: It could mean that you may have a urinary tract infection, some cervical bleeding mixed in with the urine from a friable cervix that bleeds easy and even the possibility of an early miscarriage.  If you are on Crinone (progesterone gel) for Progesterone support, you can have some bleeding that is not necessarily associated with an increased risk of miscarriage.  You should consult your doc. 1. Ovarian reserve testing such as FSH and AMH 
2. STD screening

Be patient: Please be patient and wait for your pregnancy test tomorrow. Small spotting is extremely common and does not tell you 'yes' or 'no.' keep the test tomorrow, try not to worry, and good luck.

a blood test on may 21st . it came out negative .  is that too few days or  is that sufficient for result?

IVF: If your wife had an embryo transfer on May 10th, then a blood test on May 21st should be able to detect a pregnancy if the embryo implanted. If the test was negative, it likely means that the embryo did not implant into the uterus, and that she is not pregnant. Your IVF doctor can also give you some more info on their thoughts.

Yes: If you had an embryo transfer (et) 16 days ago then a home pregnancy test should be positive by now. To be safe, do not stop any of your medications until your dr has given you the results of the blood test - some healthy pregnancies have low HCG levels at the start, which can give you a positive blood pregnancy test with a negative urine pregnancy test.

Test results : It sounds as if your testing may suggest you have a poor ovarian reserve, meaning you have fewer eggs left. If that is the case, other than using donor eggs, there is little to do other than trying ivf. There are many women who are young but have poor ovarian reserve who are successful. It also means you may need to try it a few times.
