i have the meriana iud.and have had bv 2 times since.recently i had a yeast infection now i have creamy pink discharge and a light fishy smell.

Hormonal changes: Many people take birth control pills for cycle control and hormonal balance in addition to contraception.  When an iud is placed, people stop taking the pills and return to the environment of hormone imbalance and irregular bleeding.  This can remove the protection against BV that the pills offered.  This is especially true in heavier women.

Copper IUD?: Certainly , if your IUD is Copper, then there could be a metalic taste to your discharge.  But remember that your discharge is like every fluid in your body.  Your bodily fluids are affected by everything that you eat, your hormones and medicines that you take.

Hard to answer: The iud is a foreign body that is placed in the uterus for birth control. A string for later removal protrudes through the cervix. I have seen recurrent BV infections in iud users. Bv can usually be cured with intravaginal antibiotics and maximizing vaginal ph to 4. A product called rephresh can reset vaginal ph to 4 as can yogurt (placed in the vagina). Do this weekly and see if BV stays away.

i am concerned that i might have bv again. i originally had an iud placed in june 2021 but had it removed this month due to a continued cycle of getting infections. i currently have no symptoms except for a fishy odor discharge?

: Vaginal discharge with fishy odor is somewhat typical for BV. You can get better without treatment but if symptoms get worse, you should ask your doctor for Rx.

Not typical: Masturbation, bacterial vaginosis and vibrators are all things that do not cause irregular vaginal bleeding. Progesterone IUDs like Mirena can sometimes cause irregular spotting and masturbating with a vibrator could allow blood present at the back to be visible. You could monitor your cycles over the next few months and see how it goes.

See  GYN MD: You need to see your GYN MD if you are concerned about BV so you can be tested and treated. Unchecked bacterial infections in the vagina can ascend up the IUD string into the Fallopian tubes causing a preventable serious infection.

i continue to get uti's and bv. i have unprotected sex with my fianc and have paragard iud. is it from my iud? i have taken antibiotics, but won't do

Hints below: Medical record, macro: vulvar tender loving care: i reviewed the use of unscented sanitary products. She will use dove or oil of olay soap. She will alternate baths and showers. She will consider blow-drying after bathing. Tight underwear discouraged. Showering after exercise recommended. Drinking 32-40 ounces of water daily encouraged.
Some people have found probiotics to be helpful.

yellow discharge and occasional uterine pain since embed iud removed in march. first culture showed groupb second showed bv. ultrasound showed some fluid around one ovary. is this concerning? everything else looked normal?
