Given the severity of your symptoms, I would recommend seeking eval in person at an urgent care center. Rashes are very common, but also need to be visualized before prescribing treatment. Eczema: Sounds like eczema.  Otc cortisone cream can help.  Prescription cortisone from your doctor would be better.  Heavy moisture with creams, not lotions will help keep it away.

Dermatologist: Such an extensive itchy rash warrants and examination by a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment. Possibilities include an allergic reaction to something you ate or took. Think about possible causes. In the meantime for relief of itching take an antihistamine like benadryl(can cause drowsiness) or claritin(non drowsy).

Not dangerous.: The rash is unlikely dangerous.  You can try using some steroid cream like OTC hydrocortisone or even topical Benadryl (diphenhydramine).  Also try oral  benadryl (diphenhydramine).  As long as you're not feeling sick or feverish you can watch and wait for now.  Possible allergic to some new exposure.  Write down everything you've been exposed to in the past few days.  Foods, perfumes, soaps lotions, etc, and save that for next time

Allergies: Allergic reactions heal  on their own without intervention. One just has to stop the exposure to the product or chemical causing the reaction.

Unlikely shingles: Shingles will usually present on one side of the body extending along the nerve dermatome. Would present with vesicular (little pimple like) rash, with extreme pain progressively worsening. Treatment should ideally be started within 72 hours of onset, so best see your gp asap
