Many differing dx: If you shave or use hair removers, these could certainly lead to an itchy, inflammatory process in the pubic area.  Contact dermatitis, or a sensitivity or allergy, could also do this.  Yeast infections from sweating are yet another possibility.  Then there are infectious, contagious processes like pubic lice and scabies that could be culprits.

Either this was not: a birthmark but a fungal infection or other type of rash, or the mole needs a biopsy. either way you need to see dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment

Itchy pubic area: Thank you for your question.  Itchy bumps on the outer lips of the pubic area may be caused by many things.  There are forms of inflammatory conditions of the skin that could cause a rash as well as responses to external/internal sources such allergies or otherwise.  Having an examination &amp; evaluation performed by a qualified medical practitioner would be helpful in diagnosis and treatment.

Might need a look...: This is one of those that is easiest to diagnose by looking, but it could be folliculitis (minor infection or inflammation of hair follicle) which occurs in hair-bearing areas.  Also it could be molluscum--a viral infection that is not uncommon in genital areas in adults.  If you want to be certain or if this one enlarges or you get more lesions, you should probably consult your doctor.

Hair Follicle: Probably what is called folliculitis.  An inflammation/infection at the base of a hair/hair follicle.  Might need a virtual consult and furnish a photo.  An app for at least iPhone called Magnificent produces great magnified or micro photos.  RJ

Hard to say.: This may be an infection of some sort or a dermatitis due to a change in soaps, detergents, or lotions.  Get checked to see which it could be.

Fungal: Sounds like fungal and/ or yeast infestations.  The facial component is called seborrhea.  A topical anti-fungal like Nystatin cream might be useful. Try a selenium based shampoo wash around the genital region in the shower.  Selenium is anti-dandruff, which is thought to have a fungal ("microsporum furfur") relationship.
