i get frequent itchy left ear following a sore throat on the left side, why is this? it happens atleast once every 2 month. is it just ear wax/allergy

It is your : Allergy acting up. Get some otc allergy meds and  start taking them on a daily basis .Some food / fruits can cause the itching and sore throat you just described. You may need to make a list yourself of what you are sensitive to and have an allergist check you out if condition worsened.

Allergy or dry skin: Your ears can itch due to dry skin or an allergic reaction. Your ears and your throat share sensory nerve supply. Therefore, sensations in your throat can be referred to your ear and vice versa.

Lump on neck: The lump on your neck can be a number of things but could be a swollen lymph node.  Did you have any viral illnesses recently or come in contact with a cat that might have scratched you?  Itchy eyes are usually a sigh of allergies. If the lump does not go away it needs to be checked by your doctor.

Mile skin infection: You describe a mile type of external ear infection that is common this type of year.  Its a variant of swimmer's ear and responds to the same medicine.  See your doctor.

Allergic reaction: This sounds allergic; however, you must be examined. OK to use OTC antihistamine like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or Zyrtec until seen.

Psoriasis: It could be psoriasis.  The best thing to do is to get it checked by a doctor.  Make sure it is not something called actinic keratosis which is a pre-cancerous lesion.  Worse, it could actually be cancer.  So please get it checked.

Have evaluation: You should have this evaluated as you may have an infection or a contact dermatitis.  See your physican.

i often get pain behind left ear only, on and off randomly. feels itchy & hurts, sometimes has 'crusty' build up. i try lotion/creams but doesn't help?

See your doc.: If the pain is on the skin behind the ear, it could be a skin infection like impetigo, and may need antibiotics.  If in the ear itself it may still be a bacterial infection, but would need further evaluation for antibiotics.  Either way, go see your primary doc.
