i had blocked tear duct surgery in 2015. my eye always once or twice a year end up with swelling below eye and itchy outer corner that makes my eyelid swell. why is this?

i fell and hit my shin on the corner of a brick retaining wall 4 weeks ago. swelling has still not stopped and bruise is still here. it's now super itchy and peeling and the bruise (red in color) is still here. should i be worried? xray shows nobeaks?

: Lower extremity injuries on the shin area are slow to resolve due to reduced circulation to the area, but should eventually return to normal appearance.  Warm compresses or electric heat pad may assist in resolution.

Hives: This suggests that these can still be hives. I would suspect that if it is hives  it can be in other sites. Hives occur in sites of pressure which would explain these also. A dermatologist  can clarify this.

: It depends on the date/time since injury.
Acute inflammation typically settles down in one week.
If you have worsening redness and or swelling, that implies continued inflammation.
In the latter instance you may have possible infection at the injured site.
A visit to your doctor for further evaluation is recommended unless the redness and swelling are improving daily from now on.

Skeeter syndrome: This is likely from an allergic reaction to mosquito saliva. The treatment is symptomatic-topical anesthetic or NSAID for pain and topical anti-itch agent for itching. If no cellulitis , antibiotic is not indicated.  The lesions will eventually subside.
