: That fluid is part of the plasma which is permeable to an injured capillary thin wall. The capillary wall is getting thinner during an inflammatory or allergic reaction so the plasma ingredients can go through, mainly water and small molecules and create blister or swelling. Take care.

Get it evaluated: If you have used any products on the face to treat the sunburn, you may have a reaction to them.  You also may have given yourself a second degree sunburn.   You need to take caution to prevent such severe sunburns in the future as it dramatically increases your risk of skin cancer. Maybe herpes: Sounds like onset of herpes simplex infection.  You'll know in a day or so--lesions will probably hurt more and itch less.  If they stay itchy, possible fungal infection.

For herpes, BHT (available on line or health food store) 2,000 mg per day (taken in divided doses).  Lesions should clear up in a day or two.  Another "home remedy" is to apply DMSO ("horse liniment") from a veterinary supply.
