Be more specific: Since the stomach has no itch receptor, please tell us more about what you meant.   Is the sensation more like burning, cramping, or nausea?

Some thoughts.: there are several possibilites. cannot say in your particular case, but generally, odd symptoms in that area occur in up to ONE in THREE adults on any given day (Mayo Clinic Textbook). You'd think it would be psychological but proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole work in 90%, fake drug 25%. Hiatal hernia, motility, reflux is theorized as cause.

Rash or abdominal?: Usually when something "itches" that implies the skin, but i gather here you are talking about internally. There can be itching to surround the belly button itself because of rashes, but if it is internal, then it could be from a variety of causes. Recommend checking for urinary tract infection, if it persists. Could be bowel-cramps. Probably this is something that will away spontaneously.

Few clues, but: Tiny and not so tiny bug bites are one (of who knows how many) possible cause. Outdoors, chiggers would be my guess in this season in the midwest. Indoors, fleas from a pet or bedbugs are possible. Let a doctor see it - it could also be an allergic rash and it may be treated with anti-histamines in either case. Good luck!

Ignore no symptoms: Abdominal discomfort of any kind is not to be ignored--its a warning sign that something may be wrong inside your abdomen.  Please see my many healthtap answers on the subject of what causes abdominal distress. Not all such problems are serious, but you don't want to miss the inflammatory or infectious one that is. Can't offer definitive relief however without an exam for diagnosis. Be well--.

Vitiligo?: Could be vitiligo, if it is completely depigmented, but the only way to know for sure is to have a dermatologist look at it directly.

Stomach itch: Most common cause of skin itch over the stomach where there is no rash would be dry skin. Treat with a moisturizer.

Hernias: Hernias are holes in the abdominal wall through which abdominal contents such as fat and intestines can protrude, causing a lump under the skin. I'm not sure what you mean exactly about the left side of your stomach, but hernias are  commonly seen in the groins, ; in the middle of the abdominal wall at or above the belly button. May need to see your doctor for an exam to find out. Hope this helps!

Shingles: One cause of itchiness or pain with numbness around the trunk is herepes zoster, or shingles.  The sensations can occur before the onset of the classic rash.  If your symptoms are located specifically across a cerain dermatome, then the cause is likely shingles or another radiculopathy.

i am a female , 18 years old i have  bumpy red rash on the sides of my stomach and it itches alott. it looks bumpyy and patchy . i really need help?

Many possibilities: If it's symmetrical it likely has an internal cause, such as eczema or a virus. If not symmetrical it more likely has an external cause, such as an allergy to something you have contacted. Try an otc Hydrocortisone cream, and if that does not help see your doctor or a dermatologist for a precise diagnosis and more specific treatment.
