Few clues, but: Tiny and not so tiny bug bites are one (of who knows how many) possible cause. Outdoors, chiggers would be my guess in this season in the midwest. Indoors, fleas from a pet or bedbugs are possible. Let a doctor see it - it could also be an allergic rash and it may be treated with anti-histamines in either case. Good luck!
